I have found Savage filters to be some of the cheapest motorcycle filters I've ever seen. My local Suzuki shop charges $6 CDN, which is about $4 US dollars. If you're already going to all the trouble of draining the oil and removing the filter, why not just pop on a fresh one for four bucks??? (You'll probably spend that in gasoline to clean it, these days!)
Jim, how often do you recommend changing the oil and filter, both in time and mileage?
